Whingill and Woodfoot are situated 19 miles apart. They are farmed organically and part due to get converted in 2008, a gradual process which started in 1999 due to the demand for organic breeding stock and the high consumer demand for organic lamb. Both holdings are well suited to organic production as they are situated on limestone which is ideal for growing grass.
The farms are run by the Jenkinson family, Mark and Lynda, with a great deal of help from fathers Colin and Jim, and teenage son Matthew.
is situated at the head of the Lyvennet valley on the edge of the Lake District National Park.
